Once the gophers take control of your lawn or garden you can get discouraged very quickly trying to get rid of the pesky gophers. Don't get too discouraged though because you can learn what the gophers hope you never find out. There is hope in your struggle to control your gopher problems. Hope is something the gophers are counting on you not finding.
Besides hope, the gophers are depending on confusion to thwart your efforts in removing them from your lawn. What I mean by confusion is there are so many traps, baits, poisons, electronic devices and methods that it gets very confusing trying to figure out what really works. You have to fight through the clutter to find the solution that rids your lawn of gophers.
The best method hands down is to trap the varmints. Poisons and baits just seem to move the gophers around your lawn. It is kind of like poisoning a fire ant mound only to discover they just moved to another part of your lawn. When you trap a gopher it is removed from your lawn forever. You can just repeat the process until all of the gophers have been removed.
The important thing to remember is that you can do something about your gopher problem. It won't cost you a ton of money and you don't have to hire a specialist to trap the gophers. Once you have the gophers removed from your property you can clean up the mounds and other damage they have left behind without having to worry about them just doing more damage tomorrow.
